Clothing care
At ARXIU320, we believe in timeless pieces — and in helping them last even longer. Vintage clothing often comes with quality you can feel, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need care. With the right attention, your clothes can stay beautiful for many more years to come.
General care tips
Not everything needs to be washed after one wear. Often, airing out is enough. When washing is needed, go gentle: cold water, delicate cycles, or handwashing work best. Use laundry bags to protect fabric and reduce microplastic shedding. Skip the dryer — air-drying is always a better choice.
By fabric
- Cotton: Machine washable, but always cold to prevent shrinkage.
- Wool: Hand wash cold with wool detergent. Lay flat to dry.
- Silk: Extra delicate — hand wash or go to a trusted dry cleaner.
- Denim: Wash as little as possible, always inside out.
- Synthetics: Wash inside out in a laundry bag to protect fibers.
Repair, character & customisation
Vintage may come with signs of wear — a softened seam, a faded label — we see these as part of the story, not flaws. That said, a small repair or adjustment can go a long way. Missing button? Loose stitch? Something doesn’t quite fit right? Don’t hesitate to ask us about possibilities for repair, tailoring or even upcycling. We’re happy to advise or connect you with someone local.
